In today's rapidly evolving world, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) stands at the forefront of innovation and progress. By inspiring young minds to explore and embrace these fields, we are not just educating them; we are equipping them with the tools to solve the complex challenges of tomorrow.
STEM education fosters critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills, essential in every aspect of life. It encourages curiosity and innovation, enabling the next generation to understand and shape the world around them. By integrating STEM principles from an early age, we empower children to become proactive learners and leaders, capable of making informed decisions and driving positive change.
Moreover, STEM careers are among the fastest-growing and most rewarding, offering opportunities to make significant contributions to society and the environment. By promoting STEM, we are opening doors to diverse and fulfilling pathways that can help secure a brighter, more sustainable future for all.
Join us in inspiring and nurturing the curiosity of young minds in STEM – because when we invest in their education, we invest in the world's future.
When Christine got her first daughter, she was fighting hard against dressing her in gender stereotypical clothes. Her little one was wearing a lot of blue and sweaters with cars and rockets. When her daughter grew older, it became more and more difficult to find clothes with inspiring patterns.
Christine has an engineering background and works in the tech industry for almost a decade. She loves bringing people together at local meetup events and share her passion for programming and industry trends. Of course she wants to introduce her kids to tech as well. Since sewing is her hobby and passion, she thought, why not using their clothes as a starting point.
"In my family we use any chance to inspire our kids for science and technology, to understand our world and to shape them. Why shouldn't kids stack building blocks and wear atoms to learn how nature builds the things around us? "
She started to explore the idea of creating the garments that she couldn't find. Clothes that show science and engineering related patterns that could spark a conversation.
"My daughters don't have to become engineers. However, I want them to explore the world with curious open eyes. They can still work in science :) "
Together with her friend Mariana Bocoi she designed the first patterns which you can see in our collection.
